I felt like i was just witnessing trauma build up, the whole story was just tense. I kept waiting for that "gotcha" moment where there was a spark of hope for the mc to get it out of there. Or maybe even an explanation to why he was picked to be the eye of this sick man's affection. Like why not the other guys? Why was he an orphan with a secret brother? It sucked, please don't read it
