Huge spoiler below, but I need to ask

People are saying the ml actually gets revenge on the mc and even rejects him (cuz they have read the raws or novel, maybe? Idk) but I'm confused.

If this is true and the ml indeed get his revenge and rejects the mc, why he said "I won't let that happen" when the mc said they won't be seeing each other anymore after the five dates?

Also, the way he behaves is really sus too, he acts like he is crazy in love with the mc, even his facial expressions totally scream he's a fool in love. So I'm wondering: yes he loves him but want to get his revenge and later on he's going to come up with a plan to make the mc his? He wants to date the mc after the revenge? Or maybe go full red flag and kidnap the mc and be like "he's mine"? Does someone know what's going on here? (〜￣△￣)〜
