Guwon seems to have a simplistic way of thinking (everything seems to be black and white, and as we know the world is not like that), he wears his heart on his sleeve so I don't think he's pretending. But there is definitely something about him.

Like at first I thought he was pretending since it was heavily implied what with all the throwing up and ego remarks he made infront of the mirror, but then the next few chapters, it doesn’t seem like he was pretending at all. He did mention that he doesn't feel well whenever there is something going on in the town so that's probably why he was throwing up, unrelated to the kiss probably. Guwon's is pretty eccentric, him hyping himself up in the mirror wasn't out of the norm when I first saw it.
