From all the zombie movies and shows I’ve watched, that leniency of a different punishment such as imprisonment or banishment would just result in that person biting the main characters in the ass later. Either the person would escape prison or come back for revenge lmao. I seen too many scenes where the main characters and multiple characters get killed cause of that softness
But the average person who gets whipped/imprisoned after they do something everyone is frowning upon would actually result in them simmering down (especially in a zombie apocalypse context)
Not every person is avenge able and especially not a man with a child he's trying to stay by and protect
Like im trying to put myself in his shoes and if i had a child in that town id take the whip/imprisonment as quietly as possible just so i can get back to my child and slowly get the town folk to trust me again yk?

And tbh i would say "poor guwon" if he wasn't technically 'the boss' cuz it seems hes the designated butcher of the town
Thats why everyone automatically fears him, even tho hes just doing what the town is ordering. Like he has no say in the voting (as he doesn't vote himself) but i cant help but question his authority, everyone is calling him "boss" so you'd imagine hed atleast have SOME say in this brutal punishment
And btw what abt like prison or being whipped or something?
Just straight up batting them doesn't sound very economical, like thats one hand of help gone. And guns??? Like just shoot this poor mf why kill him in the most mentally taxing way possible. (Tho I'd like to believe guns are hard to find since this is based in korea, i think?)
