I think that further proves my point that he doesn’t truly understand. He thinks hitting himself is sharing in the punishment of death. Those are two very different things. One person still has a life while the other ceases to exist and leaves his child fatherless and alone in a cult of psychopaths.
I am very interested to see how this plays out. The MC has a lot of work cut out for him. We can teach children slowly as they grow because they don’t have the ability to inflict any lasting damage on a person physically if they misunderstanding fundamental things but a grown man who seems to have an unnatural strong body? It’s like if Superman was evil. We’d be at his mercy.
Perplexed is the only word I can muster regarding this situation. Unfortunately the MC has stumbled into a cult and fallen in love with their leader who seems to be a new born. I keep thinking this is his first time being alive. I’m not even upset he killed that man because it’s almost like he doesn’t understand the concept of human life and morals. Like he has rules because he doesn’t understand so everything to him is black and white… you break the rules, you die. Everyone votes, you die. This is interesting.
