Wait this is interesting theory bc the convo where he talks to teach at night about the fact he lost his memories.. he seemed pretty insecure about that fact and was taken aback when the teacher just accepted it as a fact and not anything else
So guwom is likely aware something’s “off” about him but doesn’t know what exactly it is
So, I still think there's more layers to this. It's clear that Guwon is capable of an obscene amount of violence and he's strong as shit but his lack of knowledge about things and innocent personality are real. He also doesn't have memories of how the world worked before the apocalypse.
Guwon is the leader, but he's easy to manipulate and that feels weird. Because there's no way the town people didn't notice those things, or the fact that he can't even read but NONE of them taught him anything? Even the children were being properly educated.
What if the hounds are intentionally using Guwons strength and lack of knowledge to use him as a weapon against the normal townspeople, and position themselves at the top of the hierarchy and hoard supplies for themselves?
Guwon even said that he never realized how much knowledge he lacked, and teach was the only one to help him learn anything.
