I really love how realistically these relationships are being portrayed. For someone young in a new relationship it's a real struggle to figure out if there's any room for your dreams in the relationship that you're in.
Personally, I selfishly decided that I wanted to go work in Japan for a year, even though I had a bf of 3 years. I had hoped that we could make it through, but in the end we didn't. I knew that it maybe we could have stayed together if I hadn't left the country, but in the other hand I had a dream that I wanted to fulfill. Looking for back, I'm happy with my choice, even though it was really hard to go through and I felt guilty.
Anyway, I appreciate it when fiction isn't all rainbows and sunshine, since real life isn't that simple. I think Itsuomi is in a battle with himself and his dreams, and I really hope he's mature enough to discuss it with Yuki instead of keeping it bottled up. For some people, their partner's dream becomes their own as well and then they chase it together. I think Itsuomi's dream is really profound and who knows how Yuki would choose to support him. Maybe she'd join him or stay in Japan and support him from afar. But he'll never know unless he asks her.
