i knew the town and guwon were messed up in some way but WOW. i definitely get both sides, to the people in town and guwon they think this is the best solution and therefore not morally wrong. however, the MC has some sort of memory loss and therefore isn’t accustomed to this violence, or at least he doesn’t remember it. it is interesting though that they’ve chosen such a brutal way to execute the death penalty, and i wonder if there’s any symbolism there? it’s also interesting that guwon blames himself and even physically punishes himself, perhaps because he has a savior complex? or past trauma?
overall, this seems really interesting and i can’t wait to see where the author takes this !! (⌒▽⌒) my only prediction is that the MC is somehow going to break a rule and that will cause guwon/the town to reevaluate how important the rules are.
