This is so tragically sad and pathetic???
Like the art is so good, it's beautiful, well drawn and hilarious when it needs to be as well, also really good with the horror panels, I got chills when I got to the town in the forest but the story???
It had all the elements to actually be good and it failed so catastrophically!!! We have no actual backstory for the Blond Asshole and that title is all someone needs to ever know about him, he never does something that would make him even sliiiiightly a decent human being. He is selfish, arrogant and just seems like a spoiled brat that never acknowledged the existence of the word "no". I DON'T EVEN HATE THE TROPE OT THE SELFISH ASSHOLE ML BUT HE IS JUUUUST SO BAD
Like what's his point in this story beside non-consensualy touching the mc and obviously being the overpowered shit that effortlessly beats every monster and everyone else that even annoys him, and also sorry not sorry he is supposed to be the smart one that plays 4d chess while the others are stuck on checkers??? All he does is flaunt his title and abuse others. Like he doesn't even have a goal or something he really wants beside bringing misery to the mc, he is not even a character just the worst stereotype.
The mc is somehow worse like he begins as the competent beauty in that town that survived on his own all this time but the moment he meets the ml he somehow becomes the world's easiest pushover. I get the sucking up to royalty part but that boundary was closed when he became the ml doormat. And no he was not the "smart let him do whatever to me then escape when I can" you cannot tell me that was it, it was just sad.
He was raped, sexually assaulted (the blond asshole knew Helena was watching and did it more enthusiastically) drugged and taken advantage of yet again because of the drug, motherfucking baby trapped then put in a position he never asked for THEN after he tried to run away ( also how pathetic was that scene with the failed escape plan like it's so bad it was almost comedic) he was threatened with beheading because he survived the attack on his hause that killed his entire family when he was 12 and now if people find out that he's a noble that didn't die with his family as a child he might just get killed now???
Also this is supposed to be a romance? Really? I mean yeah Stockholm Syndrome for the win I guess but is the romance supposed to be in the room with us right now??? I felt more love from the couple that cursed the entire town then took their own lives and they had like one second in the story.
All this is could be described as a story where the ones with money and power abuse everyone else and there aren't really consequences to their actions but the art is pretty, personally I liked the one in the firsts chapters more, it had more personality.
May this kind of "love" never even look my way.
