Maybe cause Minato is older he has this thought that it's just a passing thing for Akira. Even though they like each other Minato hasn't moved on from his trauma completely. And it's not really that evident but their personality clash happens a lot. It's only cause Akira is crazy in love with him so he lets everything go. But it's true that after a few years the cracks might show. And chasing part ig always happens to be more hectic on the one who had a crush first.
Wait can U tell me what his trauma is I completely forgot I get the older thing though and the chasing part usually well the chasing part is usually even between the two it makes it purposeful but there is also another reason why they might be chasing again because like they need to test Minato abt his past thingies again but the chasing part being only one person who likes people first makes no sense unless there is a goal for that happening idk I'm ranting I haven't read it in a bit but like I think I was talking abt how the chasing part was probably unfair or didn't make sense/ have no logic behind it so if that's what I was talking abt and the author just didn't do it well then that's on them ig
Oh I guess I was wrong. It might not be called a trauma, cause he was just heartbroken but he didn't really go for higher studies and chose to stay with the laundromat. Also to do with his past injury during school time. Well, actually chasing part does seem unfair in every story for the one chasing. Which is why the mature person usually pushes them far away more. To make them exhausted. I am not even taking about bl. In straight stories also, the one chasing has more to lose. But they always enforce the fact that they're fine being the one chasing for as long as it can happen
yeah thats true though i never liked that kind of chasing anyways istg in straight stories it follows a specific trope cause its ALWAYS the guy chasing stories which are shoujo though are like that shounen err romance isnt really a big thing most of the time anyways i dont like that kind of chasing and i mean i usually only read bl with that kind of chasing which makes it fair or like they make the chasing actually have a purpose so yah
I understand your frustration lol. Ig because there are always gender roles assigned in Shoujo so chasing is always part of hero's duty. Though I have found a few shoujo ages ago where the girl doesn't the chasing part. Now in BL I have seen both happen maybe cause both are guys and a fair chance given to both. But yeah as they say the one who loves the other more is always on the losing end haha. So they do have more risk than the one being chased. Age gap here and societal difference here matters too ig. As Akira doesn't think he's that worthy of Shin, especially cause Shin is gonna be a doctor someday.

Ngl why does the manga keep bringing in people that like are from the mc past like and they also ridge into the main couple which is not there yet I feel like I mean it's cause the ml doesn't have any from his past right but like at least from my perspective it's unfair on the ml like no ml has done a bunch of things that are bad but he's made his feelings obvious at least and the ml keeps chasing the mc and the mc likes him but not there exactly yet cause they keep bringing the mc past I mean he has quite a few things he's ran away from makes sense why they bring it actually but it feels like the ml is just chasing him and I mean the mc does do some things of affection though which is why they r together not the reason like the main reason is ml chasing him idk maybe it's probably cause I wouldn't chase after someone who hasn't moved from their past at least but I can understand liking the mc cause he's a nice guy def (I'm just ranting if someone has some good perspectives pls let me know)
