Who knows. Maybe it's another "For better or for worse" situation, where some sort of time travel/dimension travel situation makes the MC think they are in a story, but it had been their own life all along (it felt like a novel to protect their sanity or something)
Iilianna considered herself a supporting character. Why would the brother bring up her name specifically to not let die? How significant was she I wonder.
Also, shiiiiiiiiiiit, I would wanna leave that place too if I was her.
