We're at the point now where Luffy and the rest of the monster trio being OP is a bit of a plot hole lol. Like, they're on a compact island and should be able to sense this all going on, jump into action etc…but they are just kept out of the way as usual to maximise crisis mode, according to the OG formula…..even when it doesn't really make sense with Luffy's new senses and abilities.
We're a long way from having a Luffy who got stuck between two buildings or eaten by a snake, or stuck in a rock underwater etc etc etc to stay out of the way. So it would be great if the formula changed to reflect this and we could see more variation in how an arc plays out and how the Straw Hats have grown, can work together etc to prevent a worse crisis etc.
I hate that I'm whinging about this but the pattern has become a bit tired lol Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
i agree -- and i do think the opponents and situation does pose enough of a challenge that we don't need to hold back the monster trio for so long before joining the action
