Let's start by saying that I like this story a lot, so this isn't a hate comment.
I really can't stand the trope of "I was actually by your side, you just didn't know" or the one "I was bad up until now but I will give up my life to save you" These tropes piss me off, because they are so rooted in catholic stigma that a sinner can do the worst ever and still be pardoned before his death. As someone who grew up catholic, I always hated it. You can't justify your bad action by just saying sorry or doing just one good action. And all the people that suffered for the bad actions? What about them?
So I can't forgive the 2nd ML who keeps being a dick up to the end, even not letting MC escape when they find her spying. He was planning to kill and betray the people he pretended to befriend. The fact that in the end he got attached to her doesn’t change the fact that he aided the killing of Valia or that he wanted to kill the dragon.
And I think that the blond auntie, who did it all for Valia's son as Valia was her friend, did everything wrong! If your first thought is to ally to the person who killed your whole family and your friend just to keep that friend's child alive... you are either dumb or nuts. She could have aided the prince by allying with him and the temple by revealing the truth about Valia. She could have done so many things that weren't aiding the person who was trying to kill that child! Like the moment the duke cursed him and she was just like "oh no". What were you expecting? He wished him dead and he is doing everything to kill him, were you so dumb not to realize it? It just pisses me off soooo much.
