I don’t know why any of you even sort of like the step mom, just remember the first time she met Ahrin, anyone who can treat a defenseless kid with such sadism isn’t a good person in my book, she couldn’t hurt or change anyone else’s mind with any semblance of power (her husband), so she turned to someone she does have power over who cannot retaliate against her, a little kid whose mother abandoned her. She purposely kept her away from education and isolated her all her life. Idc if her husband loves some other lady, she doesn’t love him either, they are with each other for social and wealth reasons
