I read this book Red Rising where the main character hurt himself before hurting someone else to force everyone else to follow and worship him! I think Guwon is doing the exact same thing. He is clearly not a saint and the way he keeps saying that he needs to protect the town and that it is everything to him is weird.
Plus the fact that he clearly is not human. The entire town is afraid of him and the « Hounds »?? It’s giving cast system for sure. He gives me Negan vibes and the town is like the sanctuary which was a false idea of Freedom.
