I might agree with the people who want to like it, but just cant get past the fact that:
I know it wasn't "deep"...but they kissed to "seal" a MARRIAGE. That's child marriage, king or not. But during the marriage they kiss. Khalid himself does it again in a *romatic* context...again. at this point in the story the Kahlid is 8yo. Ilya doesn't react to it as he is sleeping at this moment, so yeah, but we still visually confront this 8 yo's attraction to this adult man literally 2 pages later...Ilya goes in heat and they both feel that intensity...which if you KNOW Alpha and Omega tropes, that implies some type of sexuality/sexual urge. They don't do anything, or perform anything, but he grabs at his teeth...I like to think that if I saw this happen in real life, I would probably push that person doing that to an 8yo- away. Granted, he pushes himself away...but still, that's just...ugh. Then when they meet he's only 18...18. I feel like he's still not "adult enough" for me. It would have been nice if he came back at like 21 at the youngest.
now, I'm not saying "YOU'RE bad for reading this." Sublime picked it up to pusblish, so obviously it has enough people reading it to enjoy it. I just wanted to voice what I think is a valid perspective.
