So MC ends up with the brown hair guy, and they actually met and bonded when they were children. Thats the reason why MC didn't know he was a guide and ML was never able to get guided by anyone before.
When MC was a child, he was on a plane ML was as well, but while on the plane ML awakened and created a hole in the side of the plane that sucked ML nanny out. ML was on the ground (unconscious i think? can't remember) and MC went to help him & hugged him, and since both ML & MC had strong feelings that "resonated" (not sure how to describe it), they bonded. Reason they both didn't remember is ML brother (black hair guy) used his powers to make MC forget & ML either forgot due to his brothers powers or due to him being unconscious.
The Doctor guy that ML is close with is actually a bad guy as he experiments on the ML since he was a child and used his DNA to create monsters. And these monsters were assumed to have been made with many espers powers due to how many powers these monsters have, but later on in the story they find out ML esper powers are not dual powers of lightning & fire, but powers of a Mimic (ML can copy/use any power)
Due to the monsters being made from ML DNA & him having bonded with MC, the monsters cannot be guided by anyone but the MC so all the monsters but 1 dies. The 1 monster left becomes a "pet" that stays with MC & ML and the 3 of them become a team at the end of the novel.
2nd male lead (black hair) background info:
The reason he dislikes his powers is he thinks he killed his mom due to his powers. The mom isn't a guide or esper but a regular person, so when the father would get guided by others the mom was jealous/worried he was sleeping with others. 2nd ML saw his mom sad and decided to use his powers so she would only be "happy." Everyone was happy till the mom could not act anymore as she was then "always happy" due to the powers. Somehow his family found out and asked 2nd ML to stop using his powers and mom ended up dying (i believe from suicide).
