I think he's planning on doing one those artsy tattoos that cover the whole back or something like that, but a begginer can do it if they have multiple sessions
yes that's what I fear. and like it's not impossible to be done, whether it's your first tattoo or not but I have uh...19 tattoos if i haven't forgotten any when i counted them lol and having to do something that big straight away, with multiple sessions sounds like hell on earth. hope there's no coloring either, like fucking ouch. but that's me. ppl have different pain scales! but I do think everyone should start out with something small to at least know how it feels on your skin.
and the more details and shadows the more it'll hurt and the longer it'll take. so yknow. give him something small first lol
Exactly this! I get that everyone has a different pain tolerance but also pain tolerance for tattoos is very different to other pain tolerance. It's always better to start small.
yeah! like the first time i got something small and it hurt!! it was small so I just had to power through it. but like it felt like my skin was getting ripped/cut. And even now depending on the place it'll still feel like my skin is being cut. i've had bigger tattoos and one with coloring, with multiple sessions and the pain was so fucking bad i literally was pulling on my hair to no be a bitch about it lol so someone doing it for the first time??? i'd tell them they're crazy for it
My first tattoo was my most painful tbh. I got a tiny line only dinosaur but the artist went way too deep (so yes, it has very uneven lines and blowouts) and that made it hurt so bad, even scaring my skin underneath. I have since done entire day sessions which haven't hurt as bad as this stupid dinosaur that took like 20 minutes!
oh my first one was also made by like a friend of my sister's at his house it's the word ohana with 3 birds for cheap. and yeah it doesn't look great either. after that i found a studio and i always get them done there way more expensive but i prefer it!!! but no the one that hurt the most was on the side of my calf, knee to ankle length, horrible pain and then it had coloring on top of it...ouch. but even the one that i got on the front of my thigh hurt a whole fucking lot. especially near the inner thigh and close to the top and also on the bottom towards the knee
but your first tattoo sounds awful sorry you had to go through all that pain.
That sounds like torture! Wow I currently only have forearm and calf tattoos. Apart from my first tattoo, the only ones that really hurt were my calfs, only because I had them done line art one, line art the other, colour the first and then colour the second all in one day. yeah! calf tats hurt! i bet you ended up bleeding a bit too, 'cause they massacre your skin when they're coloring it. gotta do the same spot a bunch
pls don't tell me the first tattoo you're gonna give him is a big one start with something small. i get it, you're feeling your creative juices flowing, but dude's never gotten a tattoo, start small.
