It’s child pornography. The issue isn’t that minors don’t have sex, it’s that it’s an artistic depiction of minors having sex. It’s especially bad if there’s an age gap. Also all and any depictions fictional are not of underage characters having sex is still considered child pornography.
The issue was never about teenagers having sex, it’s about creating content of teenagers having sex that adults then read. Get it?

It also romanticizes the idea of sex to minors which isn’t a good thing. We already have enough of an issue that “teenagers should be having sex and you’re lame if you’re not” stigma (at least in America) and people end up getting hurt, pregnant, or regretting their decision. We should be able to practice safe sex in environments that are comfortable, and those mangas rarely push that like… ever. I mean shidoku shinaide, the uke was literally forced to have sex with the seme for the first volume.

its the fact that grown ass adults sit down and draw/write about minors. they imagine how they would look like doing it, and then translate it onto paper, which is pretty weird. + it doesnt sit right with me that there are so many adults that consume such media. i litr graduated from hs last year but im lowkey already weirded out if i see any smut in stories set in hs/when the characters are minors

teens are hormonal… its stupid to think its not plausible for teens to be engaging in sexual activities. even if others are against it does not change the fact that teens are involving with them w such conducts. also not relevant but this made me think of a tweet where someone was mad at op for making drunk headcanons for minors (context, 16-18 something) and like??
its just funny how people cant comprehend that minors can infact drink. And have sex. Like teens, seriously. That world itself can be a trigger.

hate to break it to you but... drawing fictional minors having sex is not csam. if they were, those authors would've been arrested by now. just like how rape is depicted in fiction is not a crime, fictional minor characters having sex is not csam. it sets a dangerous precedent to reduce csam to this. it dilutes the focus on the real life harm of csam. you know why law enforcement have discouraged reporting fiction as csam? it's because it can overwhelm law enforcement by encouraging the pursuit of non-harmful, fictional content rather than real abuse cases.
it's valid to find certain fictional depictions disturbing or offensive but please please please stop labeling them as csam.

I'm not talking about forced sex between minors, I'm talking about minors in relationships in fictional works going at it. But still I understand what you're trying to say, and I understand it. But as much as I hate to say it, it isn't real.
Yes the idea of an adult drawing Minors having sex is weird if you think about it too long but that is exactly why sometimes, you just got to put down the book and live your life better than the author is.

First of all, I'm not talking about age gaps. I am referring to two minors being in a relationship and getting freaky. Which yes, I see where you're coming from saying it's child porn, but it's not.
Like someone already said to you, if it was this shit would not be produced as much as it is now. Sure it's weird, but that's were we as readers just have to put the book down and life a life better than the author.

yeah im pretty sure this is true, also isnt there some sort of law in korea that bans drawing minors having sex? thats why in yaoi manhwas set in hs, they always age them up to be 20 so they can draw them fucking legally. its also why most hs bl manhwas are shounen ai too. i guarantee if it wasnt for laws like that those pervs would 100% draw them fucking all day every day. also for the australian author case, her book involved flashbacks of the love interest having sexual thoughts about the mc when MC WAS 3 YEARS OLD and he was like 30 years older than her.

oof this statement is a lot to unpack. i get where you're coming from. my take on it tho is that writers often create stories about experiences they have (they, too, were teens once) or never lived or perspectives they don’t hold. fiction allows people to explore messy and morally complex ideas without real world harm. i'd like to think that authors who like to write crime or gore don't secretly want to murder someone haha
our own biases or cultural taboos can shape how we see something. in asia, teen sex is seen as taboo which is why you might see it a lot more from asian authors because fiction is a safe space to write about it. the more taboo it is, the more dramatic it is, the more "rebellious" it feels. (this is also the reason why there is a booming industry of BL in asia). your discomfort isn’t wrong but if you automatically assume that any adult who writes about teen sexuality is being perverse or suspicious, that might be an oversimplification.
Topic: Complaining about minors (16-18) being freaky in books.
Alr, I've seen people huffing and puffing about minors being freaky in these books. But my question is, what the hell do they expect? Like don't get me wrong, I get were you're coming from with the whole "Minors shouldn't be doing things like this" but the thing is, they literally do?
Not in just fiction, literally in real life. They're teenagers. What the hell do you think a teenager is going to want to do with someone their dating? Just talk? Of course they're going to have sex. That's literally why teen pregnancy is a problem today.
Like you're really going to sit here and pretend you've never had a sexual thought while you were a minor, fucking never? I really feel like y'all to suck that shit up. Also considering the fact it's fictional, and nobody is making you read this.
Yap session: concluded.
