Okay, haven't read it, but people keep mentioning art style changes. Is it that bad?

Nah it just seems bland

Not really, the art style seems to have taken a darker tone as some areas seem to no longer have bright colors. The old one is quite better as the new one seems to have facial mistakes (making mc's eyes bigger at some panels even though originally he has sharp eyes)
