Painful and too realistic

OUCH OUCH OUCH.
First - I hope that the author heals and so sad that such a story was cut off, truly though I so think that this was the most realistic depiction of a relationship I’ve seen in BL yet.

Reccomended? Maybe. It’s not particularly happy, not particularly sad.
For warnings: there is attempted SA (between the leads), homophobia, internalized homophobia, minor cheating (not between the leads)

It’s almost like showing that sometimes love isn’t enough, but it sometimes is.
Maybe if they author would’ve had more time they could’ve expanded on it, but I’m glad they stopped when they did since in its own way it leaves you with you’re own feelings on it.

Now, the top/ML is rough. I’ll put it as is - he’s an unnecessary dick with internalized homophobia and a wicked inferiority complex.
The bottom/MC is so much more complex. He’s so sad honestly, when you read the story and see what he does and what he gives up.
I can’t even articulate what I want to - really it’s something so melancholic of growing up and realizing that sometimes you can’t achieve those aspirations and dreams that a lot of fiction tends to make you believe you can do. It's only a few that can do that nowadays with a good support system and when you want something, sometimes you have to give up one thing for another.
