Yes, cuz in a world of crime, murder, drugs and violence there would be no rape and it's problem Idk, I would understand this shock in a normal story, but here it is clear from the beginning that they are both crazy shitheads And I personally hate that rape is almost in every story (ehm, ehm Jinx), but this is literally story where do you have ex-whore, you're just an idiot if you expect there won't be rape here

And where tf am I defending it? What I'm saying is that you are upset about something that was crystal clear that would be in this story, plus even though I haven't read Pearl Boy (maybe like 20 chapters), I know there was a lot of violence and sexual violence in it. So idk what you expect the author to do other than do the same thing in a different guise

Both of you have valid reasons, let’s chime down.
Twinkie is right that rape shouldn’t be glorified or romanticized at all. Even if BLs have mafia tag or gang whatever, rape/SA is an excessively used trope when it comes to bottoms. Stories can be dark without rape towards bottoms.
Edward is right that it’s best to avoid a story if it triggers an individual, there’s not much to do at moment. Draw a line between reality and fiction, get some break maybe if it stresses you. Unfortunately many BL tends to have SA, so find Shounen Ai or novels/danmeis (I can recommend based on preferences).
Also I don’t like calling Yuta a former whore, I see him as a victim. He never chose to be a ‘whore’, he was absolutely forced—start of his villain arc. Anyways, not black or white, both main characters suck.

I'm asking for the last time: where am I defending or even justifying this? I just wrote that if it has all the signs that there will be rape, then why are you surprised that there will be rape. If it looks like a duck, it walks like a duck, it behaves like a duck, then it will probably be a duck. At the same time, I haven't seen any glorification of rape yet, as you write here - just that we don't misunderstand eachother; considering that Korean women (authors) are quite obsessed with this "topic", it quite possibly will be here, but not yet, so

Again, just my opinion. It’s just a preference of saying. Readers feel with the story, and stories are meant to make you feel.
I personally wouldn’t because he didn’t want to be a whore, he did not have a choice. When I think of someone saying, ex whore, I think of someone who used to sleep around which is black and white.
It’s the framing, again with the ‘it’s what he did’. It erases the fact of coercion imo.
I see what you’re trying to say though, it’s fiction so it shouldn’t matter—but then, it also shouldn’t matter if someone does say it matters.
What the actual fuck its exactly like jinx and codename anastasia this is just gross outside too like what the fuck
