bro, same. not about this author specifically, but there was an webtoon author that just vanished around 2020/2021 their editor commented on his last updated episode that they could not get a hold of the author and then... nothing, for 5 years now, when you go to the author's social media there's nothing
and I get really paranoid about it to this day. every once in a while I go back to the webtoon to check if there's any updates and I always worry about the worst, especially bc the last time the author was active was during the pandemic...
This is the type of thing that keeps me up all night for many many days thinking about what tf happened to the mangaka. At that point no matter how depressing or wholesome or frustrating their manga plot and storyline were. The author status is what gets me paranoid. Especially this one. With their last update in all their platform that I can find being in 2016...makes me think...what tf happened to the author. It's been literally 9 years since we last heard or had any update about or on them or their works. Makes me wonder if whatever the manga they wrote about or the theme of their manga reflecting the mangaka itself...gets me damn paranoid this is literally why I get stressed out easily. While other thinks it's a trivial matter like 'huh??? So we're getting a cliffhanger???? I guess we'll never know the ending since they've been missing for Soo long' but for me it's more of 'huh???? 2016...? It's 2025 now...and there's no update on them or anything related to them...what if...? What if this? What if that? God...' so many what ifs. And even google doesn't know their whereabouts. I guess...I'll just have to lament about this one mangaka until I get over it. Reminds me of what my psychiatrist used to say in the past. She would tell me that 'a person works CAN and MIGHT reflect on who they are as a person. But it doesn't means that it's FULLY true...' like it doesn't mean just because someone likes to draw or write stuffs about suicide or gore or SA or Pedo, makes them one or similar to one. But there is always a 0.001% chance they might be. Because they're thinking about it... they're writing about it. They're making it into something others can view...but for this case...we don't know anything about the mangaka...
