I think in his head he went to far and to smooth out the akward situation(holding him for too long and too tight), he quickly changed the subject about hickeys... we already know as readers that he saw them in previous chapters. Curiosity about hickeys is just an excuse for not to butting/show a concern/have an argument about bustard Seo...

I think we are reading in it too much?! I think he just jealous that his boy is have someone/can rely on someone/grew up and etc(non sexual interpretation) and he is hugging him tightly cus he wants to protect him(but he can't express fully cus he doesn't have right= he knows he is the same bustard as Seo) from Seo cus he isn't up any good...
