Jaemin's parents giving me war flashback LOL, sadly it's like a "common situation" in almost all of asian household ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

sometimes it's not on a similar level like jaemin's parents but danggg the passive aggressive, the emotional and physiological torture, the gaslighting, the "I'm doing all of this for you" or the "we gave you the money, what else is missing for you to become like that?", or when you did something it considered wrong, but when they did that suddenly we are expected to understand it cause it's all for our own good, or when you started to speak up and everyone said you're the bad child for doing so, or when you finally have a courage to seek help from adults and yet labeled as "overreacting" and "ungrateful" and "they didn't hit you so no, they don't abuse you" and all that, or simply the situation when your older siblings move out from the toxic environment but they can't take you with them? The complicated situation between first born child (especially female one) with their mom, and all that... Ughhh...

The thing with emotional and physiological torture is, you, as a victim would notice it too late or think that "it's okay" cause they're not "clear evidence" for someone to see or it's okay cause they're your parents and they did it for the sake of our future... It sucks honestly.

It's incredible how each region of the planet has its pros and cons. In South America, on the other hand, most parents give their children too much independence and neglect them.

To the point that most learn to be adults very quickly, or have to learn to work on their own to avoid being manipulated with money. That's also why we're accustomed to having children as young as 15 or 20.

Although there are also some who are overprotective. I'm just starting out as a teacher and have seen many cases. Sometimes, it's not the children who should be educated, but the parents.
