I have a theory that actually sakura is a cat. No a metaphorical one but a real cat, those that go meow meow. And the story is about this cat that doesn't trust in humans but eventually found his place in this town. That would explain many things, eg his looks, why his jumps are so high, why he seems so stressed around people he doesn't know, and why his parents having him living in the backyard, it was because they were bad owners, kittens go inside the house. it was intentional all along by the author. I just know in the end we gonna get this big revelation as in a big ass panel of main characters backs plus a tuxedo cat with sakura's human silhouette in the sky
