It is pretty weird but Mathew and jin separated for like 20 years before they got together and jin wasn't aware tht it was Mathew. The dude and yeongwoon have stayed in constant contact since he was in like middle school

I believe people aren't furious about the age gap, they're mad because he've known him since he was a kid. Ofc he would feel uncomfortable 1. to be touched by someone he doesn't like in that way, 2. an adult he trusted. it's weird whether it's the older uke or seme, it's not double standard. they would feel the same way with a similar older uke story. but people would see no problem, if they met as adults. also, love triangle and him being a 2nd ml might be another factors contribute to that too (never underestimate the hatred of love triangle). if a young seme was being hit on by a 2nd ml that is an uke and older (same situation, just role reversed), people wouldn't like that either.
And before anyone points out about the title in my pfp, yeah I admit that it's lowkey weird as well. except it doesn't get much hate due to him being a main lead.
