Up until he go for a rampage I seriously thought it could be a good psychological horror about how people feel under pressure, and have mental break down. You can love someone and hate them at the same time when you are emotionally and physically drained and sometimes feel like they are the monster that eating you alive but then you feel like monster for thinking that. If only author didn't go for supernatural explanation it would be 10/10
You're so right. Until like chapter 8 I was 100% certain that this was all a twisted metaphor for resentment, grief and the harmful effects of parentification on the young mind.. but nah just tentacle baby
