Tbh I disagree with the take that taegu was like a father figure or anything of the sort. Imo, the author has made it clear that mc has known that taegu isn’t a morally good guy. Just because taegu is older doesn’t mean that yeongwoon sees him as a dad or mentor or whatever. I think yeongwoon has always seen him as a friend — ofc the age difference is THERE, but just because you see them as a father/mentor and son/mentee type of trope doesn’t mean they are. I TOTALLY get why it’d be uncomfy for the audience IF they do anything freaky, but at the same they’re two consenting adults now, and Yeongwoon is far past 18 anyways. Irl if something like this did happen, it would defo be weird as hell, but remember it’s fictional and a situation/ character is only as complex as the author makes them, which I don’t think the author is trying to make it weird. Personally, I don’t think that author is gonna have them have sex together, but still (don’t quote me on that if I’m wrong).
