Not the author, but the person interpreting the authors work did change partway through the previous season. Basically, since the original work is a literary novel, someone has to take the role of adapting that novel into the form of a WEBTOON. But they’re doing a horrible job with the pacing and cutting way too much information out. I’ve never read the novel but I’m sure it doesn’t have as many time lapses is this season is going through.
