Can anyone explain the custard pudding thing?

He said it's cuz custard pudding saved him and helps him distress and the first meeting they had saved his stressed ass so he sees her as someone special like a savior and decided to call her that
(To put it simply, custard pudding=fave, so Noa=fave=custard pudding)
