sorry to bring Woke (i.e. nerd shit) to yaoi but gold being the sole primary food of dragons is kinda crazy environmentally speaking. gold is not a renewable resource, it's a whole ass element. it can't be created under normal earth conditions nor be lab grown, like diamonds. gold came directly from stars (YES, stars) undergoing a process called stellar nucleosynthesis, and when that star explodes, it flings the gold away into its surroundings.
therefore that gives me the implication that dragons aren't earth-bound creatures,, but rather COSMIC entities that can go to other planets,, because dude seriously the gold on earth WILL run out someday.
(i know it's not that deep!!!! at the end of the day yaoi logic supersedes all universal laws and that's what makes it fun xD)
