Another villain who grew up messed up due to f*ck up parenting. It's seems he truly did think of the viscount as his father, but he was abandoned. Although, I get that a viscount can't dare to claim a king's son, but it felt like the second prince was more broken when the viscount just let them take him away more than the fact that the King choose to abandon him at the end.
I guess I'm wondering what would happen if he stayed with his step father and didn't become a prince. I mean, the king took him back as his son, but he did it so halfheartedly. He treated his legitimate children better, but if he was going to take back the second prince, then why'd he turn a blind eye to the relationship of his children? Why'd he never asked what the second prince wanted before taking him back to become a prince? I feel like this could have been avoided, if there was just one good adult near the second prince when he was young.
