I heard the part of the brain that processes pain is very close to the one that processes pleasure. Not sure how true it is, but pain is an EXTREMELY popular kink for a reason
I think it has something to do with how pain triggers specific hormones that supposed to help ease the pain but with enough of it you sort of get a high? I'm not entirely sure either
