well that’s the line between hero and villian yk. “whatever the purpose was murder is still murder” was what author were thinking i guess. but i personally think being merciless would suit them better in this situation thou
Honestly I feel like the mc’s group/nest keeps getting their asses kicked because they give mercy to the villains. They beat em up and throw them in jail, only for them to escape and be a problem later. It’s why the story feels like the villains constantly keep winning and being a nuisance. Nest/mc’s group doesn’t have it in them to finish the job and that’s what’s holding them back and creating more casualties in the future. The villains keep winning cause they don’t give af and get the job done.
