Playfully!? Ain't nothing playful about "gay shit". Specially when said in front of the person the gay shit was being done with! And what about the part where he said his parents would freak out if they knew!? Dick thing to say. Plus, to me, it sounded like a thread.
His brother resents him for being healthy and being able to live a normal life while the simi is jealous of his brother for having all of their parents attention.
The difference is, the simi is not a dick to his brother.

Definitely not justifiying what he said, but his brother has shown severe signs of resentment and jealousy towards the seme. Probably stem from the helicopter parents emotionally neglected one child while the other was emotionally drowned with too much unwanted attention.
So I think his attitude stems more from anger and resentment than true homophobia.

good point! but i also think that since he hates his brother so much, the fact that uigun is gay most definitely seems like another reason for the brother to discriminate and use it as blackmail. he prob relates being gay to his brother and therefore hates it as a whole = homophobia
