I think it has something to do with the humans in the ark having ‘perfect genes’ and them seeing themselves as ‘chosen’ and ‘superior’ to the outsiders (humans that merged with animals) but it turns out that the outsiders weren’t human in the first place but are actually evolved animals.
From that point on my brain cells aren’t connecting enough to make a conclusion
So, the plan was to tell everyone that The outsiders aren't human. Somehow, I don't understand how, but somehow The outsiders not being human and just being animals would guarantee their safety?
I feel like the author doesn't understand human nature because most humans are more likely to hurt animals than humans. Animals are food to most humans. The outsiders being animals seals their fate.
