To everyone that saw in the comments that theres cheating in this series and are on the fence about reading it: Please give this manhwa a chance!

It's a pretty hard read in the beginning but that's the point. This series is about love and healing. That no matter your past, healing and recovery is possible and that to be able to love someone else you have to love yourself first.

The cheating only happens when the MC, who is in an incredibly toxic relationship, gets cheated on. After being abandoned by said partner and desperate for love, he uses the end game ml as rebound. This is as succinct as I can put it before it gets to spoiler territory.

But again, as warning, to be able to read and enjoy this manhwa YOU, the reader, have to be mature and open minded as this series can get real and raw, even if it hurts. It does have a happy ending tho!

The last paragraph, I agree with that so much. You need to be mature and open minded reading this. There's a lot of angst in this manhwa and it's a pretty hard read, but it's also pretty realistic, especially with how toxic complicated emotions are handled. It's not your average story with cheating for the heck of the plot, it goes hard in being raw on what it's like to face these things in real life, to the point it feels like the writer of this is telling their own story lol.

I really love this manhwa and its such a shame that people are skipping out on it just cause it has cheating in it yes, its your boundaries and you're allowed to pick what you read and don't read but it's still upsetting to see people commenting on the story without even reading it.

I loved how this manhwa showed that perfect victims do not exist. that just because someone was a victim of abuse, that they are excempt on doing work on themselves. I also love how it showed how damning and realistic it portrayed psychological abuse is. it's truly healing? refreshing? finally seeing a manhwa that shows how it can affect people that experienced it so imagine my despair when people are skipping out on it because of one tag.

but i guess regardless, they saw the dead dove and decided not to eat it, which is better than most readers here that see the dead dove but still eat it then complain about eating a dead dove lol.

I would not agree with this. MC chooses to cheat at least once. He felt insecure about the ML simply standing next to a woman and jumped to conclusions, called up the ex and chose to sleep with him for comfort. Regretted it the next morning but CHOSE to continue sleeping with the ex cause of blackmail. The ex is a terrible human being but the blackmail was literally telling the truth to ML. So MC was willing to continue sleeping with the ex in order to cover up he cheated rather than telling the truth to ML himself. And MC also continued to lie and gaslight the ML and also had the audacity to get mad and be defensive when ML rightfully questioned his suspicious behavior.

Trauma is a thing and no one blames him for how his mental state took a toll from the abusive/toxic relationship with his bf. However trauma does not excuse cheating nor does it excuse hurting others because of it. Trauma can be a reason but never an excuse. I think it’s wrong how you didn’t state that clearly and made it seem like MC didn’t do anything bad. Even both the ML and MC are fully aware MC fucked up and hurt them both. ML has to live with the pain MC caused him.

This is true yes but the nature of why he cheated makes what he did not something unforgivabld. Cheating is bad cause its done by an insatiable person driven by their feelings of greediness and done for their ego. The MC meanwhile was getting r*ped by his ex and stayed with the ML to seek safety from him. So to just say its cheating would technically be true but it would downplay the MC's circumstances. You're forgetting the nuance of the situation of HOW deeply the mental toll the ex had on the MC and at the end didn't MC paid for the price of what he did? and in the end, didn't the ML WILLINGLY got into a relationship with him?

This isn’t about MC paying the price or ML getting with him anyways in the end. The whole point of my comment is clarifying what DID happen. You can discuss about his mental trauma all you want, but there’s also a reason why you purposefully left out that MC did cheat.

All I’m saying is to be clear to any new readers who want to know instead of making it seem like the only one who cheated was the ex. Whether someone accepts the reasoning is based on the reader. People want to know what they’re getting into and have bottom lines. Let’s be real now, had the ML been the one to have this trauma and cheated due to it, hardly anyone would be on his side and would be mad. The bottom/mc effect is real.
