It took me some readings, now that I look back, I think we as audience ted to justify and baby our mcs a lot. Take Yashiro for example, this guy in truth is one of the blackest flags in existence. Rarely people say that tho. I know yall think everyone deserves happiness. I agree. But that is fanatasyland. I genuinely want to know if any of you would marry or even enter in relationship with such a man, despite his n character flaws even loyalty is hard to expect from him. Instead of improving his character that we normally see from other mangas, what this manga is doing is making doemeki's( the ml) situation worse. Will this be solved when they r both equally in the mud? I think this author is heading towards that direction. It is a realistic and bleak scenario. In fact the only unusual thing about this manga is how doemeki is stuck on Yashiro. I know the whole thing but everyone I repeat everyone moves on. And Doemeki's character had scope for that. Although it is also a general case in yaoi, where ml are somehow for some reason stuck on mc.
