Hii!! Sorry I don’t want to disclose where I’m from. Btw sorry for the spam, if you want to know more..
Here’s more info, btw I’m not a historian. This is just some basic knowledge I learned online.
The Middle East really thrived during the 8th-13th century. It was called The Golden Ages during that time. England was in the dark ages.
They preserved a lot of the Greek, Roman, Persian and Indian knowledge. We still have their books and writings because of the Arab world and the religion. As I said before they wrote encyclopedic medial books and invented surgical tools. There was also an advance of knowledge, intellectual advancements, learning about sciences, history, mathematics, astronomy, medicine, etc.
Actually “algrebra” (Al-Jabr) and Algorithms (we wouldn’t have the internet without it) was created by a scholar named Muhammad Al Khwarizmi During 780-850 CE (9th century).
AND the scientific method that we used today was also created by Ibn Al-Haytham (965-1040 CE).
Also the first university ever made was created by a Woman from Morocco her name is Fatima Al Fihriya.
Invention of Algrebra - Al Khwarizmi — 9th century
Scientific method - Ibn Al Haytham — 11th century
First university - Fatima Al Fihri — 9th century
Advance medicine - Ibn Sina — 11th century
First public hospitals - various (Al Razi) — 9th-10th century.
There’s so much that they won’t teach us today, which is such a shame.
Like he is suppose to be Korean.. one of the best countries on education. However, they won’t and don’t teach about the historical achievements of the most important factors and subjects in our life. We spend years studying in school from 2-3 year old to 18-19 years old. And they can’t even spare time for basic historical foundations of our humanity advancements.
Btw this is all just how I felt about the Manhwa. You can just ignore me if you don’t agree.

Hii!! Yes I understand but I’m not even a doctor or historian. Actually I’m a graphic designer and artist. I believe that this is just basic knowledge everyone should know because they really preserved and helped our advancement as people. Without them, science, math, even computers. We wouldn’t have them today. I’m not saying i know everything. In fact I never read their books .. but if I was him. 100% I’m running to the Middle East Especially as a woman. .

That's ok. If you don't mind, are you related to the middle eastern in some ways or were there any projects you worked on in the past that were related to the middle east?
It's true that such knowledge is really important, but it's embarrassing for me to say that it's not in the standard education in where I'm from and I can say with somewhat confidence that it's true for many parts of Asia. The only thing I knew was that there was a period where the middle east was as glorious as the Greeks but wars destroyed everything.
(I’m in chapter 9) I understand that he is in 19th England.. however it’s a shame that as a modern doctor himself. He couldn’t figure out that in the Middle East there was already advancements in hospitals, surgery, mental health (even), they had clean running water and they bathed weekly while washing themselves 3-5 times a day. and While England was disgusting. The Middle East had already understood a lot about cleanliness. Clean hospitals, and doctors using tools and antiseptics. We also still use books from many scholars from that time. Cleanliness was a daily practice during the Middle East.
It was known that cleanliness was tied to health. They also has separate wards for different diseases, clean linens. Surgical techniques and tools, knowledge and detailed books written. They also had quarantine and pharmacology.
Honeslty, If I was a doctor now and was sent to the past. The first thing I would try to do is go to the Middle East. Many people don’t know how much they were thriving during that time. Because western schools always try to erase the info about history.
