A man or translation error?

I personally think it may be a translation error but it’s hard to be sure I guess we’ll see when she purifies Devon

It’s said in the chapter that Devon was always a man he was just cursed as kid by a gemstone that his cousin gave him which turned him into a woman so now in simple terms he’s a wereman/werewoman? Honestly this plot point fucking sucks and novel readers are even confused cuz this never happened and Devon was only mentioned to turn into a man every full moon and left it at that while the manhwa has decided that Devon was a man all along and he’s cursed

Honestly even if they changed it from the novel, if you think about it in the manhwa version Devon technically still lived majority of their life as a woman since they were cursed as a child and only gets to be a dude once a month.
