A m*n at college told me i was "pretty except you're not my type", mind u, I was reading Chinese historical bl manwha in peace and eating my sourdough bread, the absolute audacity to get in my face and told me that. I'm confused bc why did u say that, when I don't even remember asking? Is that like my problem? Why are they all like this? Harassing women in public?

He might've seen you facing his direction and smiling at your phone. With a mans ego, he thought you were smiling bc of him.
As it sure is messed up its not harassment tho.

I remember now at work when I was laughing at something, it wasnt a bf, it was a prank of dog's reaction to intruders and instead of getting up and barked at intruders, the dogs continued eating.

Imagine just chilling and enjoying your cellphone and suddenly a random guy with big ego approaches you out from nowhere and "rejects you" even though you didn't even know his presence

Maybe it’s all in the way we interpret things. Perhaps he wanted to give you a compliment bc he thought you were pretty, and wanted to make you smile; but, he didn’t want you to think that he was hitting on you bc he’s not interested in a relationship rn. I say, accept the random compliment and trash the rest. It can only be a rejection if you were interested in the first place.
