sad to see people say that he's manipulative or the story is pissing them off, I mean yes he's a lil manipulative and the story's pace slow ash thats why each ch we feel like he's just playing with haesoo, the story is focusing on everything at the SAME time, taeha, his brother or their family affairs or that trash and how he's living.
anyways I don't think he is manipulating or playing with haesoo, he is just giving her a little push by doing things she'll doubt and ask him, just like the hickey, next chapter I'm sure she will bring up about the perfume again, imo it's his way to confirm that she have forgotten about that jerk and is ready to face a new relationship and be confident with it. Tho I understand taeha's inner monologue are lil off putting or the translation might be bad and causing misunderstanding among readers.
