If the author wanted to make an effective drama with a redemption arc with Hanyoung, they should have Hanyoung trying a green flag but actually is a beige flag who is struggling against and suppressing his urge to dominate and abuse Seokhyun and trying to prevent Seokhyun to remember their past lives as Moonyoung and Geolson. The tension we could had as Seokhyun slowly remember more and more of Geolson’s past. Then the climax could have been Seokhyun remembering everything and feel disgusted that the man who was this ornery yet wonderful guy was his past life’s rapist and abuser.
I’m tired of Rape As Drama in romantic dramas because it’s a lazy ass trope because people don’t know how to write compelling dramas.
Well, I can’t bitch too much because I was the fool who sat there and read 60+ of this slop. I just can’t help but think of the potential of being really good was a few writing fixes away.
