I'm having a hard time believing the doctor's story. I feel there is some truth to it, but at the same time it feels like there's more behind it. For one, I can see why he'd refuse to save or abandon anyone that isn't "useful" but idk if he would go as far as killing them so brutally. Though if he did crush them to death it was to prevent the bodies to re-animate and become zombies. But why wouldn't he have given the doc's wife and kids a chance to prove themselves before killing them? It doesn't make sense because why is he keeping the little kids of the town alive? We can argue that in Guwon's twisted mind they represent the ideal picture of the future of humanity but they are also a liability and take valuable resources to raise. Guwon would have killed them too but he didn't. I do still think Guwon is crazy in the head, but maybe he has a spilt personality of some sort? Half human, half dead person persona that is making act so strange and confusing.
