Look, i am a men hater as well but that's just plain stupid. He is an interesting character because he used to be an actual good partner that ended up a complete deadbeat. He has connections that suddenly after years of using the ml were used. Cheating without caring about the fl, had the chance of getting a partner that is much more financially stable while supposedly doesn't love the ml anymore but fucking up that relationship as well. Just because he is a complete asshole and manchild doesn't mean he doesnt have layers.

If you pay attention the author has left many hints that he loves her, and all of this bs is him actually throwing a tantrum over not getting enough attention from mc, and despite having a younger and rich lover he still can’t be satisfied because it’s always a comparison to his love
But he doesn’t realize he’s the one who has sucked the life out of mc
He took her love for granted and thought she’d always be there no matter what (also a very real problem in long term relationships) and now he’s gonna realize the weight of his actions
The exact reason I don't feel like he's complicated is because he's not a new concept. He's just another man out there who cheats for validation but still comes crying cause he can't be happy there either. Idk why you guys used the word complicated as if it's some patented word. Why first comment describes him very well. Every character has depth, otherwise how can you make a story or engage readers? I even saw people trying to justify Mincheol in an attempt to explain what they mean by using the word 'complicated'. Yeah no, I ain't buying any of that bs thank you.

No every character or story doesn’t have to have that in order to engage readers, there are plenty of examples, and there are people like you who read it like it’s a reality show and still enjoy it
