I agree with you although I don’t like Low Tide in Twilight either. I read it for a long time & there was some good development, but it took like 50 chapters for the sex scenes to actually be somewhat consensual, & I can’t get over the beginning when he literally rapes him within 5 minutes of meeting him
What a gorgeous mess.
Months later, I check the new chapters and Jaekyung is STILL a flavorless piece of shit (shocker), the author still throws in unnecessary sex scenes to make up for how awful the story is, there are new ridiculous problems being introduced (sleepwalking, "has to be watched" seriously??..) to force proximity so we get to see more of Kim Dan being a pushover and Jaekyung taking advantage of him... I really love the artstyle and the authors other works so I keep coming back to this hoping it gets better, I thought this was meant to be his "redemption arc"??? Has anyone else forgot what the story is even about at this point ??
If Jaekyung didn't have the personality of a wet rag and if he actually expressed his feelings but kept his broody personality, I feel like this would have been significantly more enjoyable and the toxic aspects more endurable to read. It's partly why I think Low Tide In Twilight was received so much better (still not great) with a similar plotline. Anyway, if you're wondering if this has gotten any better, it hasn't. Give it six months lmaoo
