i can see why it could be frustrating to read but i honestly really enjoyed their relationship. it wasn't a classic misunderstandings and hesitating development but more like they were both aware of their mutual attraction but chose to deal with it very differently according to their own issues.
ML had to become ruthless to survive and is struggling with letting MC in his life as he can't relish control over any aspect of it. and while he starts to accept MC as a possible variable in his life and starts dating him, he still has deep trust issues. he's been betrayed and betrayed others before so he's guarded. but he doesn't push MC away either, staying in this unconfortable situation for months just for love. his character development is really good!
and MC is so real. he's very intuitive and clearly sees ML is repressing his attraction. he's struggling with being rejected but still insisting to see this thru, or preserving himslef and backing off to not get hurt. him being like ''i'll give up on him'' only to change his mind as soon as he sees his crush the next day is so real. he's just a brave weak guy. and honestly if he didn't insist, they would've never end up together as ML would've probably keep his barriers up forever.
i love the whole layer plot!! the sister's situation is really interesting and feels really real with layers refusing to take her case by fear of losing money. one thing i really didn't like was the whole ''i'll assault you to show you how the victims feels''.. ML is adept of the 'learn by failing/doing' method but this felt like a big lack of professionalism.
