Not entirely I think. He changed their fate by tying the red string to him but by doing so there is a consequence (in this case kihoon was supposed to be a pro soccer player or smth but the changed fate made it so that he can't be)

I thought Kihoon loosing everything that he likes was the consequences of changing fate by force. But you're right. The one who changed fate was Yeon. So maybe Kihoon loosing everything is because when Yeon changed fate he made it so Kihoon couldn't like anything and anyone besides Yeon. (Explains why he felt so good).

I think he's starting to. When he passed out, I think he had a dream of him tying it and in this chapter at the end, it seemed like he got a flashback or smth. Also their next quest is called like confession or smth, so I'm thinking he has to confess this
My point was that Kihoon's suffering is maybe not due to punishment but destiny working the way it was forced to by Yeon. Yeon not remembering does not play into it. I can only see it matter in the future once he remembers he will feel guilty and maybe even not trust the love that Kihoon has for him.
