I'm only on ch 21 and I feel the lack of romance is strongly due to Kay. I really don't think this guy has ever loved anyone romantically or even wants to. All his "relationships" seem to be very much only for fucking LOOOL! I'm really perplexed, especially after his interactions with Helena, like he kisses her merely cos she's crying and felt the atmosphere called for it. He just seems to be actively oblivious to romance (￣∇￣") btw i'm not excuse Zigryl actions, ain't justifying his bullshit. I'm strictly talking about my observations of Kay.
Yeah i get what you mean but its hard to fall in love with someone that did such actions towards you, even though Kay seems to not really know/want how to love someone else, i do think he’s capable of that. Kay’s lack of love towards Zigryl is totally understandable, since all Zigryl does is give him life or death situations whenever he wants to show his “love” towards Kay. We also see that Zigryl doesn’t care if Zay is okay with what he’s doing or not (like the intimacy between them) he does it anyway. This makes Zay obviously angry and the progress that they built in their relationship completely go away.
There is actually no romance in this… Zigryl hasn’t given Zay a chance to fall in love with him and almost every time they get intimate zigryl forces it on zay and even threatens him if he doesn’t approve of what he’s doing to him mf babytrapped him too
